Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
This policy explains how the mobile app Solyra: Daily Affirmations ("Solyra", "the app", "we") handles information. Solyra is published by Ianina Markina, an individual developer.
In short: your journal, letters and progress stay on your phone. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run servers that store your content, and we never sell your information.
1. Information that stays on your device
Everything you create or receive in Solyra is stored only in the app's local storage on your device:
- journal notes, favorites and completed small kindnesses;
- the letter to your future self and your journey certificates;
- the themes you started, your progress and your settings, such as the daily card time.
We cannot see or access this information. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app, this information is deleted from your device and cannot be recovered by us. You can export your journal as text from Settings and share it yourself.
2. Reminders
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They contain a short message such as "Your card for today is ready" and never the text of your cards or journal. You can turn reminders off at any time in your device settings.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes your payment; we never receive your card details, name or address from these purchases.
To confirm whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, the purchase receipt from the store, your subscription status and basic technical data (such as device type, operating system version and app version, and your IP address as part of the connection). It does not receive your journal or any content you create. RevenueCat's privacy policy.
4. App updates
The app checks for content and app updates (for example new themes) through Expo (EAS Update). This check sends technical data needed to deliver the right update, such as app version, platform and your IP address as part of the connection. It does not include anything you have written. Expo's privacy policy.
5. Photos
If you choose to save a card or certificate image, the app asks for permission to add it to your photo library. The app does not read your existing photos.
6. What we do not do
- We do not require an account or collect your name, email address or phone number in the app.
- We do not use advertising, ad identifiers or tracking across other apps and websites.
- We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
- We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence.
7. Children
Solyra is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Your choices and rights
Because your content stays on your device, you control it directly: you can edit or delete notes in the app, or delete all data by deleting the app. For subscription data held by Apple, Google or RevenueCat, you can contact us and we will help with access or deletion requests where the law gives you these rights (for example under the GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or Canada's PIPEDA).
9. Security
Your content is protected by your device's own security, such as your passcode and encryption. Keeping your device secure helps keep your journal private.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app or its store listing.
