Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the mobile app Solyra: Daily Affirmations ("Solyra", "the app"), published by Ianina Markina, an individual developer ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. If these Terms conflict with the store's terms, the store's terms prevail for matters they cover.

1. What Solyra is, and is not

Solyra offers general wellbeing and reflection content: daily affirmation cards, journal prompts and optional small actions. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial or career advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Every action suggested in the app is optional. Use your own judgment and seek a qualified professional for personal decisions. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away (in the US and Canada, call or text 988).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Solyra.

3. Your license to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.

4. Free cards and Journey Membership

• Your first 7 cards are free, counted across all themes.
• To keep receiving new cards after that, you can subscribe to Journey Membership, monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in the app and in the store before you buy and may vary by country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings or in the Google Play Store. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• After you cancel, your membership stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not provide refunds or credits for partly used periods. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and any rights you have under local law are not affected.
• Without an active membership, new cards, starting and switching themes stop, but everything you already received or wrote stays available to you.
• If we change subscription prices, we will tell you in advance as required by the store, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

5. Your content

Your journal notes, letters and other content belong to you and are stored only on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device and any backups secure. If you delete the app or lose your device, we cannot restore your content.

6. Our content

The cards, texts, designs, logo and other materials in the app are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may share card and certificate images created with the app's Share button for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell, republish or create products from the app's content without our written permission.

7. Acceptable use

Do not reverse-engineer, copy, modify or redistribute the app, interfere with its operation or try to bypass subscription features, except where the law expressly allows it.

8. Changes and availability

We may update the app, add or retire themes and features, or stop offering the app. If we stop offering the app, content already on your device remains yours to export.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not promise any specific result from using the app.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be noted in the app or its store listing. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
